"NIGERIA WILL REMAIN A UNITED & INDIVISIBLE ENTITY IN 2015"

"Nigeria Will Remain a United & Indivisible Entity in 2015"
1 December, 2013
Sen. Ibrahim Gobir (PDP) declared the National Assembly members would partner with other key stakeholders to ensure that Nigeria will not break up in 2015.
Sen. Gobir, who represents Sokoto East Senatorial District, thinks Nigeria will not be divided in 2015, as being predicted by some people.
The Senator told the newsmen in Sokoto on December 1, 2013, Sunday that such a prediction would not come to fruition and such cynics would be disappointed.
“Nigeria will rather come out stronger and more united in 2015 and beyond. Our diverse religious, ethnic and cultural differences should therefore be the basis of our unity.
“Similarly, the vast population of Nigeria should be used as strength and not a curse,” Sen. Gobir said.
He further called for concerted efforts by the government to ensure the exploration of the vast solid mineral resources in Nigeria, including oil in the North.
“We all have equal stakes in Nigeria and none should work against the sustainable growth and development of the country.
“Peace building and unity should be our major pre-occupation to ensure socio-political and economic development of the country,” the Senator said.
Sen. Gobir urged Nigerians to desist from acts capable of stunting the growth of the nation.
